This commercial facility for a pottery company includes a warehouse, display and sales room, restaurant, and ceramics classroom. Lacking large posts, the basic structure is instead formed by the pottery display shelves. Eighty 19mm-wide, 300mm-deep flat-bar vertical timbers are lined up at 1-meter intervals along one wall, with display shelves set across them. Buckling is prevented with tension rods. The structure is built on the scale of furniture, as if the entire form were one large ceramics display shelf.
