Intent of this interior renovation project was to introduce a new “anchoring bar” function into a traditional buffet-style all-day dining space. Function of this new bar space was to provide a focal point for the entire restaurant. Within the compact 30 square metre glass architectural structure adjacent to the main entrance, the designers successfully established a harmonious connection between interior and exterior environments, while sustaining the elegance of the interior space.

The main “protagonist” of the space is the central sculptural bar delivering a grand expression of ebony; when taken together with the floating ceiling art piece suspended over the bar, both elements add excitement, creating a sophisticated and intriguing atmosphere.

Guests are welcomed by a stone carpet composed of a combination of travertine and black marble.

The back counter, as with all the furnishings, disappears in stainless steel mirror effects and light boxes. Fully transparent glass shelves and stainless steel reflections appear to connect with outdoors, creating impression that the bar is surrounded by a garden and fully immersed in nature.

The overall furniture designs showcase both elegance and simplicity. With minimal visual impact, the furniture marries the quality of the materials and the essence of the space.
