Tribeca Loft

The Tribeca Loft was designed to take advantage of a narrow loft space and create a sense of warmth and style for the clients. The design focused on the contrast between a vaulted ceiling and a linear, floating light shelf. The shelf delineates a curved spine dividing public from private spaces and defining differently lit areas. Its aluminum plate detailing creates a low maintenance but distinctive language for the multiple thresholds in the space. The lighting strategy uses the vaults themselves as a lantern for the space. Glass, Stone and Beech are used throughout to create warmth, contrast and color.
