Hub is a new 54-story skyscraper located at 333 Schermerhorn Street in the nexus of Brooklyn neighborhoods: Boerum Hill, Fort Greene, Brooklyn Heights, Park Slope and Downtown Brooklyn. The building comprises 750 apartments, 150 of which are affordable units. As seen in the images above, an extensive amenities program fosters a social lifestyle, including a 75-foot year-round lap pool, lushly landscaped sundeck and lawn, grilling cabanas, a fully-equipped gym & yoga studio, bike storage, indoor and outdoor movie screens, programmed events in the club lounge, a dog run, children’s playroom, party room, and library. A 53rd floor sky lounge and terrace features breathtaking panoramic views. The building includes ground floor retail on Schermerhorn and Livingston Streets, a dynamic three-story retail wing on Flatbush Avenue, and a subgrade garage.
The stepped profile of the 600 ft. high tower provides scale and articulation, while affording numerous corner windows in apartments. The transition from brick to window wall as the building rises complements the brick vernacular of Brooklyn neighborhoods, while lightening the upper portion of the building and offering spectacular views. An illuminated space frame provides a dramatic “crown” to the tower, an iconic presence on the Brooklyn skyline. Dattner Architects is the design architect and architect of record, with Hill West Architects as associate architect.
