Duck Duck Shed

Celebrating Las Vegas Architecture, Design, and Culture

DUCK DUCK SHED is the latest offering from The Neon Museum, and it’s a long overdue celebration of Las Vegas architecture, design, and culture. From October 27 – 30, the city will be “buzzing” with the kind of activities that only The Neon Museum can create.

The unique name of this very special set of events comes from the architecturally significant book Learning From Las Vegas, which this year celebrates its 50th anniversary. Still used today in architecture classrooms, it classifies buildings as ‘Ducks’ and ‘Decorated Sheds.’ Want to know more on this? We have a session that focuses on it!

Interested in finding the hidden Berlin Wall installation in downtown Las Vegas? We have a walking tour planned for that! Want to better understand how casinos are designed to be inviting and all-encompassing spaces? Yes, there’s a session!

Perhaps you’d like to hear an acclaimed author discuss Las Vegas Modernism? We have nothing less than the esteemed Alan Hess!

And if you wish to examine the growth of Las Vegas from a vantage point like no other — well, we actually have a helicopter for that. We’re not kidding!

With three dozen individual programs, there’s a great deal of fun awaiting you. Our partner hotels have provided the most amazing rates in the city – and there are options for every budget.

Join history lovers, Las Vegas enthusiasts, and self-proclaimed architecture nerds for the inagural Duck Duck Shed!
