Platform and hemp rope- hard and soft

The most impressive part of No. 7 Hutong is its terraces with different height. On September 3, the team decided to use the conventional building material "scaffolding" to outline the dismantled outline of the original courtyard, and then with the raw material "hemp rope" of cloth linen, unconventional construction combination to fill up the historical ground elevation difference, in order to walk in the swaying to have an instant sense of elastic experience.

Framework and Shadow

The frame of scaffolding outlines the dismantled rooms in the discharged courtyard and restores the "real" state of the courtyard in an "empty" way. The moving combination of polished mirror stainless steel on the back-to-back side and zinc sheet on the other side separates the flexible and diverse space for architectural renovation and clothing display, and also enables the public to experience the ambiguity and dislocation of space paradoxically, and the shaking of human figures, which is also true and illusory.
