Dudli optician’s store is well established in the city of Wil. This is not just because its owner maintains good relations with the residents of Wil – the shop itself is part of the old city wall. The extraordinary thickness of the outer walls is a testament to this, and the deep window recesses make perfect showcases for the shop’s wares. Behind it is a square room with slate floors and a restored Renaissance ceiling. A sweeping wooden furniture component divides the space into two areas – one for consultations with customers and one for examinations – while also serving as a display case for the glasses.
